My current obsession is Black! I just cant get enough of black cabinetry, accent walls and the contrast between matt black and blonde timber. Makes my heart sing!

I'm obsessed with dark walls! The drama of a dark wall is just too yummy. Colours pop off a dark background and pools of lighting create little intimate areas that are both cosy and intriguing.

Style Swoon - Marie Olsson Nylander

I absolutely adore the work of Swedish stylist Marie Olsson Nylander. All of the spaces she creates have a soul to them that is captivating and so beautiful. She is truly amazing.

'Marie started her academic career in economics and informatics only to open a cowboy bar called Saloon Easy with her father. She started renovating apartments for fun, realised she was on the right path and moved on to renovating houses. Her artistry crept up on her slowly, and today sceneries, rooms and houses are a central part of her life.

Scenes are built with the central element as the base, letting the rest develop from that. She works with magazines around the world, with TV channels, brokers, commercial and private clients, doing both editorial and commercial jobs. Marie truly loves to work and loves what she does'

7 Tips For Creating A Kids Space

#1 - PERSONALISE

Print a fun pic of your little darling onto canvas and it will become a great piece of photographic art which I'm sure your little one will be chuffed with:

#2 - DRESS THE WALLS

Wall decals are a great non-permanent way to create patterns on a wall without the expense of wallpaper:

#3 - DISPLAY TOYS

Displaying their toys in fun box units like this doubles up as storage too:

#4 - ADD WHIMSY

A little whimsy adds a great fairytale /story telling element to a space. Sure too set those little imaginations off.

#5 - DISPLAY BOOK COVERS LIKE ART

Let the wonderful illustrations of your kids books act like pieces of art by displaying their books like this:

#6 - MAKE SPACE FOR CREATIVITY

Every kid needs space to create. Blackboard walls are great for this:
