Global Style

Twice in one day . . . making up for the recent lack of posts . . . and getting some posts in before Mr arrives!
I'm busy working on an interior space in collaboration with Miss Jess Binns of Hector & Bailey, and the vibe we are working on is a Global Style one,  my favourite of course! So, I thought why not share some tips with you lovelies on injecting some world traveller cool into your space . . .

FOUR TIPS TO CREATING A GLOBAL STYLE:

# Play with prints, pattern and colour
# Add hand crafted elements
# Curate cool art and collections
# Mix & Match

Pattern and Colour can be bought in with textural elements such as rugs and cushions. But not to forget furniture pieces and flooring too. I'm loving the latest trend of graphic floor tiles in monochrome. Just too awesome!:

Adding Hand-Crafted Elements such as african inspired woven baskets, carved timber stools and paint techniqued pieces will also add to the textural element and the overall feel you are wanting to create:

Curate Art & Collections to finish off the look! This will add to the travelled and collected vibe:

And last but definitely not least, you have to have to Mix & Match. An eclectic mix adds the interest you are looking for. Mix contemporary pieces with vintage. This synergy will be magical!:
